The PeterFell Texture Safe System allows you to create a safer, non-slip concrete surface for virtually any environment, from residential pool surrounds to public spaces with high foot traffic.
Texture Safe isn’t an applied anti-slip application – it’s a permanent texture created to the concrete’s surface. A process called ‘bush hammering’ is applied, utilising specialised tooling from PeterFell to texture the concrete surface. This creates an even non-slip texture and enhances the concrete’s appearance. As it’s an integral part of the concrete, the texture will last, ensuring your surface remains safe and slip-free for generations.
The durability of the system is enhanced by applying our C2 densifier that penetrates deep into the pores of the concrete. This makes the concrete surface even harder, which in turn helps retain the texture profile. The PeterFell Texture Safe System offers a range of slip resistant options. All of these meet the AS/NZS 3661.1 1993 “Slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces” standards.
VERSATILITY IS A KEY BENEFIT OF THE PETERFELL TEXTURE SAFE SYSTEM
Once your concrete slab has been laid, allow 7-28 days to cure. We prefer to grind the slab before any construction starts, therefore we can grind the slab as flat and even throughout. At this stage, we require customers to be on site to approve the amount of exposure they request. If construction has started or it’s an existing house, we would prefer to leave off skirting boards, joinery, and the final coats of painting – these are to be done after we are finished, unless painting is already completed.
The PeterFell Texture Safe System is certified and meets all the AS/NZS 3661.1 1993 “Slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces” standard. A PeterFell sealer is applied once the texture is created. This not only protects the concrete against staining or marking, it also makes it easier to clean and maintain.
This same protective coating adds lustre to the surface for added visual appeal.
