Concrete Grind Pro ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it.

We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our website, email us, or call us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the location of your property or job site, and any details you choose to tell us about your floor or project.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collects some technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the website you arrived from. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Information from other sources. If you contact us through a third party platform such as Google, Facebook or a review site, we may receive information you have made available through that platform.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and arrange a site visit
• prepare and send you a quote
• carry out work you have engaged us to do, and communicate with you about it
• invoice you and keep proper business and tax records
• follow up after a job, including asking whether you would leave a review
• improve our website and understand how people use it
• meet our legal obligations

We will not use your information for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.

Marketing

If you have given us your details, we may occasionally send you information about our services. Every message will include a way to unsubscribe, and we will stop as soon as you ask. We will not sell your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only where it is necessary to run the business:

• Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email provider, form and enquiry tools, accounting software, and payment processors. These providers only receive what they need, and they are required to protect it.
• Suppliers or contractors involved in your job, where it is necessary to complete the work you have engaged us for.
• Where the law requires it, including to government agencies, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Some of the providers we use store information on servers outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to make the site work properly and to help us understand how it is being used.

• Necessary cookies make the site function, for example by remembering your form entries.
• Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Advertising cookies, such as the Google Ads or Meta pixel, help us measure whether our advertising is working and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.

You can turn cookies off or delete them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Google reviews and third party content

Our website displays reviews from our Google Business Profile and may embed other third party content such as maps. These services may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

How we store and protect it

We store personal information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and disclosure. That includes keeping our systems up to date and limiting access to information within the business.

No system is completely secure, but if there is ever a privacy breach that could cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it.

• Enquiries that don't proceed to a job are kept for 12 months in case you get back in touch.
• Customer and job records are kept for at least seven years, as required for tax and business record keeping.
• Job photographs may be kept indefinitely as part of our portfolio, unless you ask us not to (see below).

Photographs of your property

We photograph our work for our portfolio, website and social media. These photographs show floors, surfaces and work in progress.

We do not publish your name, your address, or anything identifying you without your permission. Where a project is described by suburb or by a business name, that is only done with the customer's agreement.

If you would prefer we do not photograph your job, or do not publish photographs of it, just tell us. We will not ask why.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or attach a statement of correction if we disagree
• ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it
• withdraw your consent to marketing at any time
• complain if you think we have mishandled your information

Children

Our services are aimed at property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear.
